In a fast-paced world where we are constantly on the go, we often overlook our surroundings. If we choose to slow down, once in a while, we can come to realize the incredible impact that our environment has on us. It’s no surprise that taking a walk in nature can help reduce stress. So much beauty and well-being can come from our connection with a healthy environment. As we become more conscious of our environment and more protective of its wellness, we begin a journey of honoring ourselves, our communities, and our world.
The ADPoly Environmental Wellness Club’s Mission is to:
- raise awareness towards environmental issues
- encourage connecting with nature and exploring the outdoors
- promote a more conscious and sustainable lifestyle
- engage the students in volunteer opportunities that help promote the environmental wellness of the community
- develop student leadership skills through sustainable initiative projects
- enable students to build a network with like-minded individuals within and outside the institute
- support student writers or artists whose work is inspired by nature and want to share their work in on-campus events or exhibitions

There is no Frigate like a Book To take us Lands away - Emily Dickinson.
Our book club provides an opportunity for ADPoly students to come together, read books and share our opinions on them. Our club welcomes everyone, regardless of English level and experience of reading, to come and participate. We aim to read at least one book, selected by students, each semester, and to organise meetings to have discussions and activities connected the book. The club is a great opportunity to make friends, participate ADPoly’s extracurricular activities, improve our English level and, most importantly, to have fun.
The Book Student Club’s Mission is:
- to promote a lifelong appreciation of books in a positive and safe environment;
- to develop our English skills, particularly with reading and discussion skills;
- to provide all participants with an opportunity to develop their communication skills by participating in discussions, presenting and putting their points of view forward
- to broaden our knowledge of other cultures, perspectives, and general knowledge through literature
- to organise events at ADPoly’s Abu Dhabi campus as well as excursions to museums, exhibitions, cultural events and book fairs in the United Arab Emirates.
